Endurance 1-3
The Endurance series of works examine our reactions to social boundaries - constraining situations where politeness and social etiquette dictate our actions.
Initially split into three categories: unwatchable, neverending and disgusting. These works depend on their presentation in circumstances where it would be rude or unacceptable to leave the viewing. With the audience unaware of what is actually taking place.
By constructing the event in this way, naturally occurring events of the same type are replicated, and a range of emotions are elicited as the viewer is forced to endure an event that they do not wish to.
A direct precursor to the non-events series, these works are currently in redevelopment.
